Hike Picacho Peak

This is a fun obstacle-type hike to the top of Picacho Peak (the famous spire-like mountain you will see as you travel towards Tucson). We will ascend the peak via the Hunter's Trail. It is a 4+ mile out and back which takes you to the summit of Picacho Peak and it will not disappoint; especially if you're looking to get that adrenaline rush. What sets this hike apart from most trails in Arizona is the system of cables, handrails, and bridges in some sections of the hike. The Civilian Conservation Corps built it and was later added to by the Boy Scouts of America.

The elevation change is 1500 feet. If you fear heights, you may choose to stop at the saddle; but be assured there are ample ropes and ladders for the final assent/decent.
